Found the culprit, I think. Hooked the negative clamp on the meter to the fuel pump and touched the point of the meter to the starter and if that light lit up any more it would have busted it was so bright! Touched it to the switch and nothing. Or am I thinking wrong. But really, the switch is very rusted.
