The reo is 8.5 gpm at 3000 engine rpm. The filters are in parallel giving a total of 18 gpm. These are hot flow ratings. The little info that I could find indicated that the bypass valve is needed for plugged filters or cold oil. But since I have two filters, is it OK to not have the bypass valve?
