Sounds like you need to buy a new title. Place an ad in the swap meet in case someone will be scrapping one soon. I just scrapped a 54 4400 and still hold the title, same with a 66 C10. Maybe go to a salvage yard and buy a junker with a title. There's always a way around it. Some states only require a bill of sale. May have to title it in another state first,
