I know nothing about Task Force trucks, but I am surprised to hear there was no fuse box/block/panel/etc on standard production TF trucks.
I thought mgbo52 was talking about a 49 pickup.
A fuse "box" (two fuses and storage for 1 or 2 spare fuses) was standard on the firewall of all 1954 trucks but I do not know in what year that "box" became standard. I am fairly certain there was no standard fuse "box" in 1949, as stated by others above (I'll check this out, when I get home tonight). [There was a standard 48-49 5-circuit fuse box - see below.]
As I stated above, "None of my reproduction harnesses came with a fuse "box" (even for 1954, in which a fuse box is original equipment).
