We use a 64 chev 3/4 ton for our hauling. We have a 20 ft tilt top trailer with no brakes.I brought in a 1961 c60 grain truck on the trailer with no problems but it would have been iffy in a panic stop situation. We now have a homemade wrecker boom and sling with a armstrong winch on it. We brought a school bus 50 miles from the hills in missouri worked great. If you pull heavy loads you need a 4 speed automatics will overheat and you dont have the gear ratio that you get with a granny low. Old Wolf
