You know, I do have a modern CD player and my heater switch on a panel right below the dash below the radio delete plate and speaker grill.
I'll have to think about how to do it nicely, but I could avoid cutting up that speaker grill, which I really did not want to have to do, and just make a very nice, boxed in dash extension painted body color to mount my other 4 gauges as well as my stereo. Hmmm.
