chevyman_08,

I also like the manual transmission's, especially in a truck. It seems to be more fun driving...in my opinion.

I would however upgrade the trans to a five speed to get better gas milage using a trans with a .75 to 1 final 5th gear. This cold be a little expensive for your budget though. I perfer the "Doug Nash" or "Richmond Gear" trany's. These can be a bit expensive but I think they are worth the extra dollars and effort and... can take the extra abuse.

If the engine is "hot", as you stated, you may want to re-think the bell housing choice. "Lakewood" steel bell's are excellent for the purpose they are designed. If you have ever seen what happens to the bell housings and floors when a clutch explodes or fly's apart, you can appreciate why they are used or required on modified vehicles at the dragstrips. Your legs and ankles deserve the extra safety.

In my opinion , there is no substitute for safety!

OH, and by the way...WELCOME TO STOVEBOLT...

Dave
