What year, and which transmission? It sounds like you've burned up some clutches with the fluid loss, and it's rebuild time. If it's a turbo 350, they're not too expensive to build, and there's a lot of them out there if you choose a salvage yard tranny. If you do, drop the pan and change the filter and fluid, and also replace the front and rear seals before installing the transmission.
