Mike, if I had known this a few weeks ago I would say go for it and some would be ready by the time I'm ready to put this thing on the road. BUT as luck has it a very nice and generous stovebolter gave me a tank for the cost of shipping. It is here and in great shape. The downside is that is it off a one ton panel and is longer than my original and will hit the gusset mentioned above. NOW the challenge is up to my son in law who welds for a living. He says he can shorten it up for me to original and guarantee it. For him its probably a piece of cake and for me its just a small repayment on some of the things I do for him including letting him use my shop!!!!
I still think it would be great. There are lots of AD's on the road.
Good luck on your project. Heck, I may still end up needing one??!! We'll see by late next week.
Edit: just for those who may be wondering the one ton panel tank is about 32 inches long and the one on my 1/2 ton panel is about 24". Not exact but close. The height and depth are about the same.
