I will drive it this evening to see what the temp gauge is showing. Only coolant flow in radiator is in surges, thermostat opens an I get one rush of coolant, then no flow. Water loss? I added less than a pint, first in about 3,000 miles. Heater control is done by venting, no coolant valve on this model. No coolant flow to the heater, I plugged the return and hooked a hose to the feed, got next to nothing. Just to be sure I reversed my plug and hose, got nothing.

I either have an air lock like I've never had or a bad water pump. Don't know whether to do a compression check or pull the water pump first, one job will take as long as the other.
