Find a real tire shop, one that services tractor/trailer rigs or farm equipment tires. Most of the big-city tire shops are run by a bunch of wusses who have to sit down to pee, and they're terrified of working on a tube-type truck tire. Properly-maintained split rims aren't any more dangerous than any other type of heavy-duty equipment.
