I noticed there's a lot of you from the Great Northwest,so I'll address this to you. A guy on another forum mentioned removing a log loader from a truck he restored. I'm not familiar with those things,and wonder if one of them might be a worthy base for a boom I and my brother Dutch are planning to build for my old Mack truck.I want to finish up with around 2,000 pound lift capacity,and a reach of maybe 10 feet from the center of the truck. It sounded like older examples of the log loaders could be had fairly reasonably,and if they're built the way I think they are,they'd already have a lot of what I'll need to build my boom.
So whaddya think?
