I am guessing your bed will have no problem with a Harley. The steel cross members are close enough together to give the pine, oak or wood of your choice the strength it needs. If you are going stock, the bed strips and the fender washers underneath give added linear strength.

My truck had two huge irrigation pumps in the back when I picked it up. Owner said "I hope you enjoy your pumps". They weighed in at about 250 to 300 a piece. The old bed that was 60 odd years old held them just fine. I figure the new bed will work even better.

Your Harley oughta be safe...
