Also, make sure the water pump is spinning the right way. With so may new engines running serpentine belts, a lot of the water pumps are backwards from the old style motors. My buddy just replaced a Ford pump because of that, it idled fine, but on the road it over heated in a matter of miles/minutes! Joe
