My stock '49 3600 with a 216 can't get much above 40 and that's winding it out pretty good. My '48 3100 with a '54 235 can go slightly faster but not much. If I can't get somewhere on side roads I take my wife's Lexus. If I were interested in more speed I would want more confidence in my suspension, and brakes first. But I don't know much anyway.
