Along with things like the steering column and non-laminated safety glass I have concerns with the door latches. One of mine was worn so much that each time I hit a bump it would pop open. I had a friend rebuild it by welding and grinding and filing it and although it is like new it is still not as secure a design as a modern latch unit.
