This interesting sub-section is contained in the Florida Statutes pertaining to seat belt usage. Would anyone care to tell me what it means for a truck originally manufactured without seat belts?
(b) The number of front seat passengers of a pickup truck required to wear a safety belt pursuant to this section shall not exceed the number of safety belts which were installed in the front seat of such pickup truck by the manufacturer.
Does this mean that I can't have passengers in the front seat?
I think that's a legal way of saying that if the truck only came from the factory with 2 belts then the person sitting in the middle wouldn't be required to wear one.
