I converted mine to turn/park lights on my 48. I also converted to 12 volts so all I had to do is drill out the spot weld that held the original socket into the housing and spot weld an 1157A socket into it's place. Probably the easiest mod that I've done to the old girl since I've owned it. If you stay 6 volt, do the same as I did with 6 volt bulbs. I can't give any advise on the wiring, I used a harness from a 75 3/4 ton Chevy truck to make the conversion,
