I agree, what a crock of crap.I've never owned a vehicle with an auto trans in my whole life.Our daughter were taught to drive on a standard shift as that's what we own,they had no problems at all.Last summer I let my 14 year old grand daughter drive my 45 2 ton Chevy on the back roads,after a short lesson,she had no problem starting off, although shifting the non syncro box was a learning experience, like "we're gonna replace those steel gears with rubber to cut down the clashing of gears"
