On my last couple of days off, I was able to finally remove the small gas tank, and the Corvette Stingray front bumper the previous owner had installed on the front of the Grumman.

A bit of sawzall work, and some grinding got both to come off in good shape. I've put both up for sale. Imagine how happily surprised I was when I found out how much that front bumper may fetch. It'll help me offset the price of the new tires I need.

After they were removed, I painted the chassis where the actual bumper will mount with some rust encapsulator I got from Eastwood.

I have a used front bumper off of an unknown Chevy truck. I had to weld a tear in the bottom. I'll have to make my own mounting brackets for it, then paint. I may end up having it powder coated. We'll see.
