Chelsea up to St. Ignace is a ways and with the speed limit up to what 75 now I suspect the fuel consumption is getting that much greater.
I grew up in the Walled Lake/West Bloomfield area.
Roads around here could use salt but the town roads generally just get sand on the hills and intersections, I guess its a cost thing. County and state roads get salt treatment, some even get brine treatment.
