Just for the record, a 6v starter can be jumped from a 12v vehicle without any harm. Just don't turn on your headlights while the 12v vehicle is still connected to the 6v vehicle. ... or press the brake pedal, have the dome light or radio on. I don't know what will happen to the gas guage.
