I took the steel bed strips for powder coating - I didn't want them sitting around getting rusty. When I get them back, I'll fit everything together and see where the boards land. I'm hoping the outside boards will reach under the angle strips enough to drill holes. If not, my cabinet maker friend said he can glue a small strip to wider the boards or cut me two new boards.
