Yes. Both ends are the same. My original strips have a punched hole at 1/2 inch and the new strips are 2 3/4 inch. Here's pic of the other end.

I've looked at other websites and some will list '40-'45 as one item and 1946 is listed separately. And some websites list the strips as 40-46. Not sure why the difference.
