Ahh, that makes sense. I wasn't asking so much for this specific installation, just in general because it seems like the 235 cams are a lot more common. However at least they can be ground down and the lobes still fit through the holes.
Cadillac were kinda chintzy on the original cam diameter, so machining the holes a few mm larger could allow for more lift. Now you can get roller cams, so it doesn't matter as much. At least there's plenty of material in the Cadi block, so no worries there.
