Wow! I thought I was anal about fitting things together. I also wondered why the edge of the hood was just single thickness, but didn't go to that effort to add a double thickness seam to it. Looks like you've done a great job there.
Thanks. The back edge already needed some shrinking and stretching due to some work by the previous owner(s) so this seemed like the thing to do...plus I never liked the sharp edge. It appears to hold its shape a little better than relying on the seal to form the thin metal.
