Yet another update. After realizing my house has been upgraded to a three wire system, I decided to shell out another $80 and get the 60 gal. 240V belt driven Craftsman Pro. 10.2 cfm @90psi (double the cfm of the one I returned) for $80 bucks more seemed good.
Got it wired up today (After paying $50!! for a Zinsco 20A 2 pole breaker) and it wasn't nearly as loud as I thought it'd be. The other compressor that I exchanged, boasted 40% quieter but, I couldn't hear the difference.
It's definitely got more umph than that 120V. Really made that sander go. Can't wait to get started on some bodywork and framing my new garage and painting lawn furniture and...
