The key to the setting tape is buying the right size. The first one I bought from a known vendor supposedly for the vent windows were way too big so I ended up ordering new from eBay. Measure the gap in the window frame, measure the glass then subtract the two. The remainder gets split and you end up with the available space for the tape. I bought one that was just slightly bigger and it worked out perfect.
