Doug, have you put some light oil on the setting tape? That's what the Service Manual calls for. Don't be afraid of muscling up on that mallet. You'd be surprised how stout glass is. Just be sure you have it set on your workbench with some light padding underneath the edge.
As far as the interior trim molding, I don't think they're reproduced (I may be wrong, though.) Lean on fellow bolters who can probably come up with one for you if you post an ad in the Swap Meet.
