They said they did not balance or put weights on them at the factory.
I am going to call BS on that one. All of my custom driveshafts have balance weights, the stock ones from a 78 GM and and 85 F**d both had them.
It is possible that GM didn't balance them in the 50s with the expectation they would be spinning too slow to matter, but I have some doubts.
