Thanks Kevin. I anticipate plug welding the new inner panel to the existing outer panel on the inside as I do not have a spot welder.
Given that I will be waiting for the correct inner panel (and maybe regardless) I plan to fit the portion of the outer panel that I need to replace while I have access to both sides of the weld joint.
