I agree with the time between cleaning the oil bath filter, with the little use on my truck and almost entirely on blacktop roads, it does not need cleaning very often. Mine does a great job of keeping the combustion air clean. I don't know if my original engine has ever been rebuilt, I didn't pull the heads when I had the engine out of the truck, but it doesn't smoke at all.
