What plugs into the two wire connection on the alternator? and were does the wire go to? The alternator needs to see battery voltage before it turns on, if it's not wire correctly, it never turns on. A ONE wire alternator only needs the main heavy wire to work. There is a test port on the back of your alternator where you insert a probe to manually excite the regulator, but its been a really long time since I have had to do it, I couldn't tell you just where it is, any '65 or newer GM shop manual will be of some help.
