The attached image of the maroon plate, is a vehicle '49-'54. They used a metal tab for the specific year until September '53, when they went to stickers.

From what my research indicates, those years used the same plate for trucks and cars, but a different tag. The white tag is for a passenger car, the yellow tag is for a truck.
