That was an added feature seeing that the plate was not original and made of plastic, I added the bowtie to make it unique. Once we have a plate that fits, you can add or subtract anything you want. That’s the easy part. The hard part is getting the contour and size correct. You can add a rectangular, round and pretty much any shape opening you like.
The spools of plastic are about twenty five dollars and not positive but I think I could get three or four out of it. The biggest part is they take about 12-16 hours to print. No big deal as I set it up and just let it go. You do have to keep an eye on it as sometimes things go wrong and if you just let it go you could end up with a bunch of plastic string glob’d together. I mounted a camera on mine so I can use my phone to view it.
You do have to sand, prime and paint them to match.
