Yeah, personally, I dislike replacing tires with usable tread still on them. But I think I would dislike being dead (or causing someone else to be dead) even more.

I made my decision sortta like Joe's a couple of years ago during a ride to the big show at Winchester when I was going down a hill about 60 MPH and it occurred to me that I had owned the truck for nearly 20 years and was still running the tires that were on it at the time ... If one failed ... going down a hill ... 60 mph ...

I have new tires. And the clock is ticking. My goal is to wear the tread off right about the time they date stamp out. smile
