The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay E Gremlin: Dead Ign Circuit and Grounding Problem

Is the ballast resistor doing something different than the external resistor that used to come with a coil? Or do they serve the same purpose? My understanding is that they were able to eliminate the external coil resistor by putting more windings inside the coil.
