The thing that jumps out of that picture is the diameter difference in the hole in the diaphragm spring. That's going to change the whole geometry of the linkage operation, unless a matching throwout bearing is used, diameter-wise as well as length. Did you buy the clutch assembly as a "kit", or did you source the pieces individually? That big spring hub on the clutch disc should be going back into the pressure plate, not facing the flywheel like you have it in the picture on the right.
