Running a 700R4 in my 55 with a 350 SB.No problems whatsoever.Another factor is what rearend are you gonna use. The 700R4 is an overdrive unit,which allows you to use a lower geared rear.I am running a 3:90 rear and getting 20 MPG with plenty of get up and go.
