Last night on that new game show, "The Power of 10" one of the questions they asked people was "Who invented the Diesel engine: Rudolph Diesel, or Vin Diesel?"

I don't know if it's sad, funny, or both.. but 25% of Americans surveyed said they thought Vin Diesel invented the Diesel engine.

Now i'll bet way more than 25% of people surveyed would think that 'overdrive' meant 'super balls mode' or 'heavy hauling mode'.

I bought an '86 Camaro with the 700R4 tranny in it real cheap years ago because it only had reverse.

The guy at the tranny shop said he saw 'em all the time, because people were driving 'em in OD.. and the only time you should have it in OD was if you were on the highway, and not pulling anything.

Seems like the only 700R4's i've ever heard of being long lasting were the ones that got babied.

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
