i have a 87' chevy shortbox and the 700r4 lasted 180,000 miles behind a 350. couple of key factors are change the oil in transmission every other time you change your engine oil and keep it out of overdrive unless your on the freeway above 50 mph. not towing anything. find one 86' and newer from a truck or van.
