I built the biggest box possible using one 4x8 sheet of 3/4" plywood so I have lots of room. A bottle opener (obvious reason), a gas can with non-ethanol (my gauge doesn't work), jumper cables (I jumped neighbor's Honda), tow strap (I towed a Model A home), gasoline additives (Sea Foam, etc.), fire extinguisher, fan belt, tool box, 1 quart oil. The shovel is in case I slide into a snow bank in the winter or dig someone else out.

You made me think about my scissor jack shown. I don't know if it will get high enough to get a wheel off the ground. I better try it sometime.
