Point taken on combustion gas being vented off. PCV excels at removing those combustion by-products and blow by gases.

“That practice/action will remove all foulness (mostly moisture).” This statement was my concern on moving moisture.

The moisture and fuel contamination in oil will still be a huge concern. As you mentioned that why the oil change interval in the ‘50s were 1000 miles or less.

Just ran my 228 up and down the highway at 50 mph for 30 minutes........possibly the last drive of the season.
Engine temperature 180*
Oil temperature bottom of pan 110*
Outside temp 35*
