The picture is my current road draft tube with no PCV installed. I used it only to illustrate where I would locate the PCV valve. I believe its high enough because that is where the down tube (out-flow) is pulling its vacuum from. It seem logically a better place then directly from the block due to the increased height and the baffles installed in the “stand pipe”.
If you have a welder, you could always add an extension to the bottom by utilizing the cut off out-flow pipe, essentially duplicating the factory setup.
