The 350 is one of the best small block engines ever built. Sturdy, reliable, and very torquey.
Yes the 350 is a fine engine, and if I was building a station wagon, or a family sedan, I would seriously consider one. However, in an old truck, or a hot rod, personally, I prefer something with a little more character. You can describe a 350 with one word:
BORING .
