If you get a four barrel, you can find a cheap used four barrel intake to go with it (I grabbed a '57 Corvette factory intake for $40 last month, and used Edelbrocks show up at swaps for under $50 all the time...), and when you need to upgrade to a bigger 4 BBL down the road, you'll already have the intake for it. The electric choke is a nice feature too, and a 390 is still a pretty small carb- personally, I wouldn't go any less than that.
