Hotrod Lincoln/Jerry.....I actually started a thread on this site a couple years ago about the "no start" when engine is warm issue.......and I have yet to resolve it. I replaced the starter, bought brand new heavy duty cables, all the terminals are wire brushed/sanded down perfectly clean. Alternator is charging properly, and after running and I turn the key off, the battery has a great charge (around 13 volts).......so there is plenty of juice to crank, but she wont crank. I even had to try jump starting when I turned the key off by mistake at the local trash dump, and the brand new truck assisting with the jump barely made a difference....just a "grunt", and then a reluctant turn-over and somehow she started.

But, back to my first question: Is it possible for the engine to build up so much blow-by pressure that it goes up the PCV tube and into the carb base, and the pressure goes back down to the fuel filter? Here the high pressure would force the fuel pump to close, and not pump any gas up to the filter. Is it normal to pull the hose off the filter and have that intense pressure "hissing" and exploding fuel out into my face?

Keep the rusty classics going.
