They know how to make soft lines to hold pressure these days, especially 30lbs of oil pressure, so the argument of catastrophic failure is not legitimate these days IMHO. One could even rig up an oil pressure switch to shut the ignition off if oil pressure dropped below a set pressure, if one was really worried about soft lines.
