Bucking was the terminology we used at Aero Commander building airplanes in 1965. I spent many an hour laying on my back wedged up in the tail bucking rivets. If I let the bucking bar slip and cause a nick in the face the rivet had to be drilled out and everything redone. The inspector was ruthless.
