If I may I would like to chime in. I too was skeptical about the electroysis. I had a couple of rear bumper brackets that were badly rusted. I cut up a 30 gallon plastic drum, and used SS hardware cloth as the positive electrode. I put them in the bath after work and let them work all the next day. When I got home the rust was gone. A good brushing under running water, then a good drying and they were ready to paint. It did make the water a nasty looking mess. After I was finished I dumped the whole thing on the grass by my shed and turned the sprinklers on. That was in late August and I have seen no adverse affects. I will have to try it for paint removal.
